Where To Farm Gold - Tons of places to get gold in World of Warcraft

Your rating: None

Where to farm gold is a common question.  Everyone in World of Warcraft wants to know where they should go for maximum gold earning potential.  And sure, there are spots that are better than others.  But the truth of the matter is that it’s not even that important.  There are plenty of good places that you can farm gold, in practically every zone of Outland.  Sometimes it’s more about making the most of whatever farming you are doing than it is about starting in the right spot.

For instance, you can make lots of gold just by running heroic instances.  And not just one way, either.  Bring an enchanter and dust all the loot that drops, then sell it on the auction house.  If you have a good group, you’ll be making cash from whatever the mobs drop plus selling a bunch of grays and cloth and what not on top of the enchanting mats.  Then add in the Badges of Justice you receive, which can be redeemed for items to sell, and you’re making great gold.  Running instances isn’t something that is normally associated with farming gold, but it works anyway.

Or pick a zone.  Nagrand, for instance.  There are multiple opportunities for gold farming just outside Shattrah.  Head to the elemental plateau and grind on primals.  Or, if you’re an engineer, throw on your goggles and hit a few mote clouds.  If you really want to do something mindless, fly around until you find a group of mobs that looks interesting and just start tearing into them.  If they don’t drop quest items or craftable materials, they probably drop greens and grays and cash.  Or kill some animals, skin them if you can or just pick up the meat.  You can cook it if you have the skill, or just sell it raw on the auction house.  Raiders always need well feds.

I’ve barely even gotten started.  There are so many quests in The Burning Crusade, you could be busy for months trying to get them done.  Assuming you’re 70, they can pay really well.  So pick a quest line and go to town.  Especially the lower level zones it should be very easy to complete them since you’ll over-leveled and over-geared.  Don’t feel like trying to wade through a bunch of different quests?  Go do some daily quests.  You can do the same quests every single day, which means nothing to learn, nothing to figure out, and no wandering around looking for stuff.  Sure, it might get a little repetitious, but that’s the nature of the beast, right?  Even within dailies there’s a huge variety: professions quests, bombing runs, go find me this, go kill 5 of that, etc.  For more on dailies check out Dailies Guide.

I could go on all day listing the various ways that gold farming can be accomplished in World of Warcraft.  There’s no reason to ever be bored, and there’s no reason to be stuck on any single method.  And of course you can tell by now that there’s no reason at all to ask where to farm gold.
