Daily Quest Reset – When does it happen?

Your rating: None

Daily quests are a great way to make piles of gold in World of Warcraft, and the key to the whole thing is the daily quest reset.  A little background before we get to that, though.

What are daily quests?  Daily quests are a new type of quest that were introduced since The Burning Crusade expansion for World of Wacraft.  They behave much like traditional quests in that you get them from a quest giver with an explanation mark over his or her head, and you return for a reward when you complete the quest.  Unlike the rest of the quests in the game though, you can do a daily quest more than once – in fact, you can do it each and every day.

There are a couple restrictions though.  You can’t do it more than once per day (hence the name ‘daily quest’), and you can’t do more than 25 different daily quests in any one day.  Once you’ve done 25, you won’t be able to do any more of them until the next day.  For most people this shouldn’t be too much of a barrier.  How many hours do you really want to spend running quests anyway?  It does bring us to the main point though: the daily quest reset.

Of course if there is a limit on when you can redo a quest and how many you can do in a day, there has to be some point where the timer starts.  It would be very messy if it was different for each person, so instead there is just a set time at which all of the quests reset.

When the reset time arrives, the record of what quests you completed in that day will be reset as will the total count of the number of quests that you had completed for the day.  You will then be able to redo any of the quests you had done the day before, and also be able to complete up to 25 more dailies before the next reset in 24 hours.  The reset appears to take place at around 4:00 AM server time.

The daily quest is a great new way to earn money quickly and easily.  To learn more about all of the daily quests, you can check out the free Daily Quest Guide from DailiesGuide.com.  Being able to do quests that you are familiar with speeds things along, and just generally makes life easy.  And of course, the cornerstone of the process is the daily quest reset which lets it all start over at the beginning.
