Daily Fishing Quest – Bring Out Your Inner Fisherman in World of Warcraft
If you’ve had enough of aimlessly wandering the World of Warcraft looking for spots to fish, there’s good news for you. With the daily fishing quest, your meanderings can have a purpose. More importantly, you can pick up some really great gear to help you out when you’re trying to fish up those particularly difficult fish.
The daily fishing quest is a little different from some of the other daily quests you’re used to. A normal daily quest can be completed every day. No surprise, right? It is called a ‘daily’ after all. With fishing it doesn’t work that way. There isn’t one daily fishing quest, but rather five separate quests. When you go to the quest giver, he will only offer one quest to you. That is the only quest that you can do for the day; the other four are completely unavailable. If the quest that you want isn’t being offered, you’ll have to wait until the next day and hope that it’s the one chosen.
Which quest will be available is random. They are all equally weighted, so you can expect over time that all quests will be available about once per five days. In the short run though, you could end up seeing the same quest multiple days in a row, or not seeing a quest you want for a week or more.
The fishing quests are each a bit different. Here’s a list of the quests and a quick overview of what they entail:
· Felblood Fillet: catch a fish in Hellfire Peninsula or Shadowmoon Valley
· Crocolisks in the City: catch a baby crocolisk in Stormwind or Orgrimmar
· The One that Got Away: catch a fish in Nagrand
· Bait Bandits: catch a fish in Terokkar Forest
· Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy: catch fish in Zangarmarsh and extract shrimp they have eaten
Each day, one of these five quests will be available. Your best bet is to do each one at least once and get a feeling for how quickly you can complete them. You’ll also find out whether it’s a fun quest or not. Then you can check it each day, and if it’s a quest that you don’t like you can just skip it.
Remember that doing these quests not only rewards you with cash, but you can also receive unique items that will help you with your fishing, like a hat that increases fishing skill, a potion to let you walk on water, or temporary fishing skill increases. There are plenty of other items you can receive too, so it’s worth more than just the gold that you get from completing each one.
